Jack has spent most of his life fishing in the Tuross and Wagonga inlets. He has an intimate knowledge of the complex systems of these estuaries and will gladly share it with his clients.
Having fished passionately from when he was old enough to be able to hold a hand line, Jack decided to concentrate on making Fishing / Guiding a way of life in 1998. After studying at Tafe to complete his coxwains and MED3 certificates, he worked on charter and professional fishing boats out of Narooma for 4 years. Targeting species from Flathead and Snapper to Tuna and Blue Eye Cod, also fishing professionally for Kingfish around Montague Island and surrounding waters.
In the late 90`s he started guiding people on the local beaches. The target species were Salmon and Tailor, Bream and Whiting. He also taught beach reading and beach worming and beach fly fishing including, knots and rigs, baiting and casting, playing and landing fish right through to Filleting, cleaning and keeping your catch fresh.
Jack has gained an enormous wealth of experience teaching people to fish, from people that have never cast a rod in their life through to helping to refine the techniques of people that have fished all their life. We use Soft plastics, Hard bodied lures, Poppers, Flies and even teach estuary bait gathering and use.
Jack’s skills have been displayed on television on various fishing shows and on promotional DVD’s. Over the years he has taught hundreds of people how to make more use of their time on the water and how to fish more effectively.
